Robin Talle

Robin "Bob" Douglas Talle was born on Wednesday, January 2, 1939 to Herman and Lucy (Purdy) Talle in Grafton, North Dakota. He was baptized in the American Lutheran Church on March 31, 1939, sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Gryte, Bernice Katz and William Hood. On April 26, 1953, Robin was confirmed at the Glenwood Lutheran Church, Glenwood, MN. On May 28, 1957 he graduated from Glenwood High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon returning to civilian life he entered Mankato State University and transferred to and graduated from the Institute of Medical Technique in Minneapolis in 1966. Robin was employed as a business manager at Blue Earth Hospital and was an EMT on the ambulance squad for many years. He was also employed at Fairmont Foods and Wal-Mart in Blue Earth until his retirement in 2001. Robin was past president of the Blue Earth Jaycees, was active in the Lions Club and was a member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church where he served on the Board of Education, was a choir member and a church Elder. He married Shirleyann Lange on October 24, 1964 at St. John''s Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Robin was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time camping, deer hunting, fishing, wood working, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Robin is survived by his wife, Shirleyann of 43 years, children: Michelle (& Mark) Graham of Mankato, Erica (& Robert) Nowak of Burnsville, Trent (& Rebecca) Talle of Eagle Lake, grandchildren: Katelyn and Alyssa Graham, Jakub Nowak, and Logan & Colin Talle.He was preceded in death by his parents.
