Tessie Christensen

Tessie was born October 8, 1918, at Eden Township, MN, the daughter of Ferdinand and Anna (Schultz) Dittbenner. She was raised and educated in Eden Township, MN where she attended schools. After her schooling she was a caregiver for a local family before her marriage to Richard H. Christensen on March 29, 1940 in Morgan, MN. The couple farmed near Morgan for many years. They retired and lived on Diamond Lake, near Willmar, MN for more than 20 years before moving to Blue Earth in the late 1990''s. Tessie was a pilot and enjoyed flying. She also enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, camping and baking her favorite- coffee cake. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and holidays. Tessie Christensen is survived by her daughter, Jean (& Milo) Goltz of Elmore, her son, Sidney (& Cheryl) Christensen of Morgan, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Richard in 2005, brother, Royal Dittbenner, sister, Frances Voltin and twin sister, Evelyn Christensen.
