He was born September 19, 1931, at Albert Lea, MN, the son of Martin & Winnifred (Hoveland) Shure.He was raised in Frost where he was a 1949 graduate of Frost High School. He served on a destroyer in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He returned to Frost where he worked for the P.H. Thompson Construction Company. He was married to Sandra Larson on February 2, 1957 in Fairmont. Ronnie worked highway construction with the Charlie Brown Construction Co. of Mankato and various other companies over the years. He operated a heavy equipment road scraper for many years until his retirement in 1988. Ronnie had been a longtime member of the United Lutheran Church in Frost. Ronnie had a lifetime passion for horses, especially raising and showing quarter horses.Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sandy Shure of Blue Earth, his daughter, Vicky (& Tim) Nelson of rural Blue Earth, his daughter, Susan (& Terry) Bartels of Milford, Iowa, his son, Michael (& Holly) Shure of Arlington, his mother, Winnifred "Winnie" Shure of Mankato, his brother, Roger (& Connie) Shure of Blue Earth, his brother, Robert (& Lori) Shure of Madison Lake, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father- Martin Shure.
