Frances Rae Weis

Fran was born on February 9, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Raymond and Cleoria Frances (Oberg) Emmerich. In 1946 she moved to Madison, MN then to Hampton, Iowa in 1950. After graduating from Hampton High School in 1951, she attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa for one year before transferring to ST. Joseph?s Mercy School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa, graduating in 1955. While working in Sioux City as a nurse, she married Lawrence J. "Jerry" Weis on August 24, 1957. Frances and Jerry moved to Blue Earth, MN in 1965, purchasing and operating the Sears Catalog store. Fran later worked as a nurse at ST. Luke?s Lutheran Care Center until she retired. Survivors include her brother-in-law, Joseph (& Ramona) Weis, Denver, Colorado, nieces & nephews: Theresa (& Doug) Cramer, Colorado, Mary (& Randy) Fouts, Colorado, Michael Weis, Colorado,Patrick (& Scarlet) Weis, Missouri, Jenny (& Ronnie) Rodriquec, Colorado, John (& Chris) Weis, Nebraska, Anne Weis, Colorado, and Thomas Weis, Colorado, and many loving friends who will miss her much.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jerry, in 2006.
