Dustin J. Volz

Dusty was born June 8, 1980, at Blue Earth, MN, the son John G. and Rita C. (Pries) Volz.He was raised and educated in Elmore where he was a 1999 graduate of Blue Earth Area High School. He attended South Dakota State University where he earned his bachelors degree in Animal Science in 2006. Since June 2006 he had worked for Land-O-Lakes Company at the Hull Coop Elevator, Hull, Iowa as a swine specialist. Dusty was a very active participant in all aspects of 4H and FFA, winning the FFA Region VII Star Farmer Award. He was recently raising Simmental Cattle with his father and very excited about helping organize The North Central Jr. Regional Simmental Cattle Show event this coming summer.Dusty is survived by his parents, John (& Rita) Volz of Elmore, his sister, Hannah (& Austin) Bressler of Winnebago, his paternal grandmother, Bee Volz of Elmore, his maternal grandmother, Arlee Pries of Winona, his aunt, Mary (& John) Morrison of Scandia, his uncle, Jim (& Kim) Volz of Elmore and many good friends.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather-Jim Volz and his maternal grandfather- Raymond Pries.
