Quintin Strack

February 29, 1912 — April 3, 2006

Quintin was born February 29, 1912, at Emerald Township, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Emma (Bruns) Strack.Qunitin was raised and educated in rural Emerald & Blue Earth Townships where he attended country schools. He began farming at the age of 12, after the death of his father, and continued to live and farm that family farm until his death. He was married to Florence L. Reko on August 21, 1936 at Immanuel Church in Blue Earth. He was a lifetime member of the former Immanuel Evangelical and EUB church- now Immanuel United Methodist Church. He was also a longtime member of Farm Bureau, was chairman of the Blue Earth Township Board since 1947 and served on the Faribault Co. Fair Board since 1965. Through the church he taught Sunday School was a superintendant, trustee and served many other needs of the church. He also served the Gideons for many years.Quintin is survived by his daughter, Violet (& husband Cort) Viesselman of Hutchinson, son, Charles (& wife Lois) Strack of Blue Earth, brother-in-law, George A. Buck of Des Moines, Iowa, sister-in-law, Helen Reko of Blue Earth, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Florence in 2001 and a sister-Eleanor Buck in 2002.
