Phyllis M. Curtiss

Phyllis was born September 24, 1928, at Lake Crystal, Minnesota, the daughter of Elmer and Gertrude (Bechtol) Schmidt.She was raised and educated in Lake Crystal, Lakefield and Osakis where she graduated from Osakis High School. She attended the University of Minnesota where she studied traffic control. She was married to Keith Curtiss on November 27, 1947 in Osakis. The couple moved to Blue Earth where they started Curtiss Trucking in 1950, which they continue to operate today. Phyllis was a member of the Neighbor Club, VFW Auxiliary and Salem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed music, gardening, playing bingo & solitaire and cooking.She is survived by her husband, Keith Curtiss of Blue Earth, son, Mike (& wife Pam) Curtiss of Blue Earth, daughter, Karen Curtiss of Rochester, daughter, Becky (& husband Doug) Nagel of Blue Earth, daughter, Christy (& husband David) Sneen of Shakopee, brother, Harold (& wife Bea) Schmidt of Randall, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and one great grandson.
