Helen was born September 18, 1920, in rural Bricelyn the daughter of Ubbe and Jennie (Terbeck) Berg.She was raised and educated in the rural Bricelyn and Blue Earth areas where she attended country schools. She was married to Jerome C. Sabin on June 26, 1944 in Blue Earth. Helen was a homemaker and was an active member of Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore for several years before moving to Blue Earth where she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Blue Earth. Helen was one of the original exercise enthusiasts having ridden a stationary bicycle thousands of miles and being noted for her numerous long walks around town. She wrote poetry and other creative writings and especially enjoyed her granchildren and great grandchildren. Helen is survived by her son, Dean (January) Plantz of Ankeny , Iowa, son, Gary Sabin of Minneapolisdaughter, Diane (Phil) Lee of LeSueur, sister, Eunice (Rich) Barke of Fairmont, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in April 2006, son-David Sabin and brother-Larry Berg.
