Roy A. Rhoda

Roy was born September 21, 1915, at Kossuth County, Iowa, the son of Charles & Ida (Sohn) Rhoda.He was raised in Kossuth County, Iowa and attended country school through 8th grade. He attended Elmore High School for a short time. On April 29, 1941 he married Clarice Amanda Hove at South Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Bricelyn, MN. They farmed most of their married life but Roy also worked at Winnebago Industries and St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth after retiring from farming. Roy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore and enjoyed fishing, golfing, farming, family and friends.Roy is survived by his wife, Clarice Rhoda of Elmore, daughters, Kaye (Arlan) Walton and Jacqueline (Thomas) McNallan both of Rochester, a sister, Iva Pannkuk of Minneapolis, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Gust, John, Alfred, Fred and Ernest Rhoda, sisters: Emma Reese, Hattie Goeke, Minnie Munson, Alma Huckins and a grandson, Perry Walton.
