Frederick L. Kriewall

Fritz was born February 25, 1931, at Blue Earth, Mn., the son of Bernard F. & Lorena E. (Wilke) Kriewall.He attended Blue Earth High School. On May 20 1950 he married Nina Reifsteck at Blue Earth. Fritz worked for Wilke Dray Line before starting his own Mobil service station in 1952. In 1965 he became a Sinclair distributor and operated a Motor Mart. Fritz built the current Blue Earth Auto & Truck Stop in 1983. They moved to Spirit Lake, Ia. in 1991. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran in Blue Earth and Immanuel Lutheran in Spirit Lake after moving to Iowa. Fritz served on the Blue Earth Fire Dept. for 36 years and was Chief for 16 years. He was a board member of the Minnesota State Fire Chief''s Assn., served on the City Council for 10 years, and was a member of the Lions Club. Fritz had been awarded the Ed Leland Memorial award and the Blue Earth Jaycees recognition of service to the community award. His hobbies included fishing, boating, traveling in their motor home, and spending time with family.He is survived by his wife, Nina of Spirit Lake, Ia., son, Bernie Kriewall of Blue Earth, son, Scott Kriewall of Blue Earth, daughter, Cynthia (& husband Sonny) Morgan of Blue Earth, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother, Duane (& wife Darlene) Kriewall of Burnsville, brother, Roger (& wife Mary) Kriewall of Bass Lake, sister, Lorraine (& husband Mike) Arends of Blue Earth, sister, Marguerite (& husband Bruce) Mondahl of Minnesota Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents.
