** In lieu of flowers, the Lyon family prefers memorial donations in Lowell''s name to the Department of Anatomy at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. **Lowell was born March 23, 1929, at Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the son of Glen and Hazel (O''Hara) Lyon.He was raised and educated in the Pilot Grove and Elmore areas where he was a 1946 graduate of Elmore High School. He was married to Evelyn Nowicki on July 16, 1949 in Blue Earth. The couple farmed in the Pilot Grove area until the mid 1970''s. Lowell drove a truck for a few years before working at Telex for many years, retiring in the mid 1990''s. Lowell was a longtime caretaker at the Village Green Estates in Blue Earth. He was a member of the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church where he was active with the Knights of Columbus. He was a former cub scout leader and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Lyon of Blue Earth, daughter, Sue (Gary) Tonn of Blue Earth, son, Terry (& Christine) Lyon of Kingston Springs, TN, son, Tom (& Sandy) Lyon of Centennial, CO, son, David (Sharla) Lyon of Austin, daughter, Kris (& Michael) Cain of Bloomington, IN, brother, Gale (& wife Leona) Lyon of Blue Earth, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two great grandchildren.
