Mildred Coupanger

Mildred was born April 29, 1905, at Red Wing, Mn., the daughter of Carl R. & Jennie A.(Erickson)Sutherland.She was a graduate of Red Wing High School in 1923 and Winona State College in 1926. Mildred taught elementary education at Lake City, East Chain, and Blooming Prairie. On August. 16, 1930 she married William A. Coupanger of Elmore in Minneapolis. Mr. Coupanger preceded her in death on December 17, 1978.She was a member of Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years and had served on it''s Council and several Auxiliaries. Mildred served on the Elmore School Board from 1945-1954 and participated in many civic and voluntary projects.She is survived by her Daughter: Barbara (& husband Dennis) Servatka, Green Valley, AZ, Daughter-in-law: Pat Coupanger, Elmore, MN, 6 Grandchildren , 14 Great Grandchildren, Sister: Dorothy(& husband, Clarence) Benson, Tryon, NC, Several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Son; Bill Coupanger, Step Mother, Two sisters, One half brother & their spouses, and a Great Grandson. Memorials are preferred to the donor''s favorite charity.
