Jared Bly

Jared was born January 25, 1979, in Blue Earth, the son of Frankie and Cindy (Siepkes) Bly.Jared was raised in Blue Earth where he was a 1997 graduate of Blue Earth Area High School. Jared was a member of the National Honor Society and was very active in athletics, earning multiple letters in Tennis, Football and Basketball. Following high school Jared attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where played on the varsity basketball team for four years. He graduated with a degree in accounting in 2001 and later began working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Minneapolis, as an accountant, where he continued to work. Jared was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth and enjoyed golfing and fishing trips to his favorite place, Ear Falls Ontario, Canada.He is survived by his wife, Tara Bly of Lauderdale, parents, Frankie & Cindy Bly of Blue Earth, brother, Jeremy Bly of Shakopee, sister, Janell (& Matthew) Williams of Willmar, maternal grandmother, Dorothy Siepkes, of Lennox SD, brothers-in-law: Eric (& Jenny) Taylor of Urbandale, IA, & Grant (& Gina) Taylor of Denver, Colorado, sister-in-law, Gabbi Taylor of Des Moines, mother-in-law, Bonnie (& Russ) Phillips of Unionville, Missouri, step-mother-in-law, Dawn Taylor of Des Moines and several nieces & nephews.Jared was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Ilene Bly, maternal grandfather, Arnold Siepkes and his father-in-law, Jack Taylor.Memorial donations are preferred to the Jared Bly Basketball Scholarship Fund at Blue Earth Area High School.
