Howard L. Hinrichsen

Howard was born April 11, 1923, at Faribault County, MN, the son of Hans and Marie (Simser) Hinrichsen.Howard was raised and educated in the Blue Earth area, graduating from Blue Earth High School in the early 1940?s. He farmed on his family farm following school before his marriage to Donna E. Gaylord on January 21, 1949 in Blue Earth. The couple farmed in Emerald Township and later in JoDavis Township for many years. Howard retired from farming in 1985 and began working part time for Blue Earth Petroleum. He also worked part time at Blue Earth Tire and continued farm work on the Plocker farm until he was 80 years old. Howard was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a supporter of 4H & Future Farmers of America, and was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.He is survived by his son, Michel (Nancy) Hinrichsen of Willmar, his son, Patrick Hinrichsen of Palm Springs, Ca. his daughter, Judy (Milden) Brownlee of Blue Earth, his son, Kelly (Karen) Hinrichsen of Ankeny, Ia., his sister, Phyllis (Donald) Harder of Oostburg, Wi, his brother-in-law, Lloyd (Joyce) Gaylord of Blue Earth, his sister-in-law, Ruberta Hinrichsen of Rapid City, SD, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and nieces & nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2000, and 2 brothers- John and Milden Hinrichsen.
