Clement was born March 6, 1921, at Faribault Co., MN, the son of William & Isabelle (Willette) Murphy.He was raised and educated in Guckeen and was a 1939 graduate of Blue Earth High School. He served in the U.S. AirForce during WW II where he was an Airplane Mechanic, serving from 1942 to 1946. For many years Clement farmed west of Blue Earth near Guckeen. He eventually retired and enjoyed living in various places throughout the country during the 1970''s, 80''s and 1990''s. Clement returned to southern Minnesota in 1999 and soon became a resident of Bryn Mawr Health Care Center in Minneapolis. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling in his motorhome. He was a longtime member of the Blue Earth American Legion Post #89 and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Guckeen.Clement is survived by his sister, Naomi (& husband George) Paul of Easton, his brother, Gerald (& Mary Ann)Murphy of Blue Earth, his sister, Teresa (& husband Don) Reed of Olympia, Washington, his brother, William(& Bev) Murphy of Murfeesboro, Tennessee, his brother, Harlan (& Carlyn) Murphy of Hayes, Kansas, his brother,Stanley Murphy of Reno, Nevada, his brother, Duane (& Pat) Murphy of Blue Earth, his brother, Kevin Murphy ofBlue Earth and many nieces and nephews.Clement was preceded in death by his parents and a sister- Mary Murphy.
