Laura Boettcher

March 9, 1918 — January 16, 2005

She was born March 9, 1918 at Elmore township the daughter of Francis & Sophia (Ehrich) Klatt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John''s Lutheran Church of Elmore township. She attended country school in Section 10, in Elmore township, and also attended high school at Blue Earth through the nineth grade. On November 30, 1939 she married Gerhard W. Boettcher at St. John''s Lutheran Church, Elmore township. To this union were born three children. Laura was a lifelong member of St. John''s Lutheran church. Laura and Gerhard celebrated their 65th wedding anniversay in November and was delighted with the many cards they received from the card shower. Laura and Gerhard enjoyed going to their winter home in Florida for 35 years. She spent countless hours putting jigsaw puzzles togeher. Laura enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Gerhard of Blue Earth, daughters, Janice and her husband Steven Ripley of Blue Earth; Karen and her husband Doug Paape of Courtland, MN; 4 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren; sisters-in-laws Luella Boettcher of Blue Earth & Mavis Boettcher of Blue Earth. She was prededed in death by her parents, an infant son Gerald, 3 sisters: Geneva Vogt, Helen Fuchs & Selma Mensing; 6 brothers-in-law and 1 sister-in-law.
