Elsie M. Christensen, age 87, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at United Hospital, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2005, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Stephen Bohling & Rev. Lynn Enloe officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will one hour prior to the services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Blue Earth is handling the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born July 11, 1917, at Clark City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Martin and Karen (Pedersen) Christensen.She moved with her family in 1931 from Wisconsin to a farm 6 miles north of Blue Earth. She and her brother Hans farmed until they retired and moved to Blue Earth in 1967. Elsie was a homaker and had been a talented seamstess, artist and cook, especially with her baking. She enjoyed tending her flower and vegetable gardens and was a former member of the Royal Chislers Woodcarvers. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the TLCW group, was on the church council and was church financial secretery for several years.Elsie is survived by a second cousin, Carol (& husband Dave) Bend of Earlsville, Illinois and many good friends and neighbors.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Hans in 1988.
