Richard Christensen

Richard was born July 4, 1918, at Redwood County, MN , the son of Christ and Laura (McCarlson) Christensen.He was raised and educated in Evan, Minnesota where he attended school. He and Tessie Dittbenner were united in marriage on March 29, 1940 in Morgan, Minnesota. The couple farmed near Morgan and Sleepy Eye, Minnesota for many years. The couple retired and lived on Diamond Lake, near Willmer, Minnesota for more than 20 years before moving to Blue Earth in the late 1990''s. Richard was an avid aviator and owned his own aircraft for many years. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast through the years. Since coming to Blue Earth he had worked seasonally with Green Giant and Wantonwan Farm Service, hauling grain or fuel. Richard is survived by his Wife: Tessie Christensen of Blue Earth, daughter, Jean (& husband Milo) Goltz of Elmore, son, Sidney Christensen of Morgan, MN, 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
