Gerald Knutson

Gerald T. Knutson, age 83, of Shakopee, formerly of Frost, died Friday, September 23, 2005, at his daughter?s home in Shakopee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September. 27, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Frost, with Rev. Ed Nieman officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be in United Lutheran Cemetery, Frost. Visitation time will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at The United Lutheran Church in Frost. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth in charge of arrangements. He was born September 17, 1922, at Frost, MN,the son of Edwin & Gina(Graue)Knutson.He was a graduate of Frost High School in 1940. Gerald was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. On Feb. 1, 1950 he married Lorene O''Groske at Wells. They farmed in the Frost and Bricelyn area until his retirement. Mrs. Knutson preceded him in death in July of 1999.He was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Frost, Bricelyn American Legion Post #165, and V.F.W. Post #4580 in Blue Earth.He is survived by his Daughter: Julie & husband, Ed Nourse, Shakopee, Son: Steven & wife, Kris Knutson, White Bear Lake, Son: Marc Knutson, Austin, Grandchildren: Christy Dressel & fiancee, Dan Teta, Shakopee,Michelle & husband, Russ Connolly, St. Paul, Dan Knutson, White Bear Lake,Cory Knutson, Cincinnati, OH, Lacey Knutson, Austin, Great Grandchild: Tristan Teta, Shakopee, Sister: Edith Patterson, Yuma, AZ. He was preceded in death by his Parents, one Son(Gene), two Brothers (Russell & Robert Knutson).
