She was born September 13, 1909, at Story County, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas E. and Mary E. (Longnecker) Thompson.She lived in Fenton, Iowa before coming to Elmore in 1918 where she attended schools. Lucile was married to Charles A. Huber on August 11, 1933 in Elmore. The couple farmed 2 miles north of Elmore until 1947. They continued to farm east of Elmore where Lucile continued to live until moving to Nicollet Place in Blue Earth in 2000. She had been a resident of Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center, Iowa since 2003. Lucile was a friend of Elmore United Methodist Church, enjoyed nature - especially bird watching and loved to travel.Lucile is survived by her son, Russell (Barbara) Huber of Elmore, son, Charles (Patricia) Huber, Jr. of Elmore, daughter, Velma (Marvin) Stroebel of Titonka, Iowa, son, Eldon (Sally) Huber of Elmore, daughter, Helen (Tom) Syverson of Blue Earth, daughter, Joyce (Tom) Henderson of Chanhassen, son, Vernon (Dang) Huber of Elmore, son, Gene (Mavis) Huber of Elmore, daughter-in-law, Delores Huber of Elmore, 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband- Charles Huber in 1984, Son- Lawrence Huber in 2003, 2 sisters, MarthaWilloughby and Caroline Nimz.
