Edna Goltz was born May 9, 1912, in rural Elmore the daughter of Herman and Ida (Lueck) Ziegler. She was baptized in June of 1912 and confirmed in May of 1925. She was married to Alfred Goltz on November 23, 1930 at St. John''s Lutheran Church, Elmore. The couple farmed at Wood Lake for two and one half years, then bought a farm near Elmore in March of 1933. Just as they were moving to Elmore a tornado destroyed some of the buildings on the farm and the windmill was leaning on the house. They began repair work immediately and farmed there until they moved to Elmore in 1973. Edna enjoyed raising her family, farming, was an organist and active ladies aid member of St. John''s Lutheran Church where she enjoyed being a choir member for more than 39 years, until suffering a stroke. In 1998 she became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore.She is survived by daughters: Margaret (& husband Myron) Johnson of Elmore, Glenda Stickler of Fridley, Roselyn (& husband Mervin) Hauge of Zimmerman and son, Milo (& wife Jean) Goltz of Elmore. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Leona Krupp of Elmore & Elaine Goltz of Wood Lake, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred in 1989, 2 sons, 1 sister, 2 brothers, 1 son-in-law, 1 grandson & 1 great grandson.
