Hattie C. Blair

January 8, 1910 — March 19, 2004

Hattie was born January 8, 1910, at Kossuth Co., Iowa, the daughter of Jacob A. and Alma C. (Johnson) Peterson.She was raised and educated in Kossuth Co., Iowa where she was a 1928 graduate of Swea City High School. She worked in Fort Dodge and Sioux City, Iowa before her marriage to Lyle C. Blair on April 14, 1934 in Swea City, Iowa. The couple farmed near the Woden & Armstrong, Iowa areas before moving to a farm South of Huntley, MN in the mid 1940''s. They farmed near Huntley for 50 years before moving to New Life Manor in Blue Earth in 1994. Hattie was a longtime member of the River of Life Worship Center, in Blue Earth.Hattie is survived by her sons: Marlon (Donna) Blair of, Austin, Lyle Eugene (Carol) Blair of Minneapolis, Ron (Linda) Blair of Winnebago, Paul (Carol) Blair of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, daughter, Carolyn (David) Hillier of Austin, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1996, 4 brothers: Milton, Clifford, Harold & Lenus Peterson and an infant granddaughter- Amy Catherine Blair.
