Nellie Neal

Nellie was born September 8, 1917, at Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John & Nellie (Cokol) Bendel.She was raised and educated in White Pidgeon, Michigan where she attended schools. Her family moved to Chicago where she soon began working for Campbells Soup Company as a soup preparation cook. There she met her husband, Ernest Day Neal and the couple was married on February 28, 1941. In 1953 she began driving a school bus in Arlington Heights, Ill. area for Ritzer Thaler Bus Lines. She also was a poll judge and vote certifier in Arlington Heights for many years as well. She was an avid bowler and loved family, small animals & garage sales. Nellie retired in 1967 and Ernest died in 1985. She moved to Delavan in the winter of 2001.She is survived by her son: Gary (Connie) Neal of Delavan, son: Kenneth Neal of Arlington Heights, IL, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-Donna Day Neal and 3 brothers: John, Paul & Sam Bendel
