Iva was born September 3, 1922, at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, the daughter of George & Minnie (Jacobson) Hauskins.She was raised and educated in the Brush Creek area where she attended schools. She was married to John Hinrichsen on July 3, 1940 in Blue Earth. The couple farmed in Pilot Grove Township south of Blue Earth for over 60 years. Iva was a homemaker and loved having her family near at gatherings & holidays; she particularly enjoyed baking for her grandchildren. The couple retired to Elmore in the mid 1980''s. Iva was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore where she was active in her circle and served on the church board. She was very active in the community in many ways including as 4H leader and with the St. Luke''s Auxiliary Board. Iva was named the Faribault County Oustanding Senior Citizen in 2003. She is survived by her husband, John Hinrichsen of Elmore, son, Jeff (& wife Judy) Hinrichsen of Blue Earth, son, Brad (& wife Jean) Hinrichsen of Blue Earth, daughter, Beth (& husband Wayne) Anderson of Fergus Falls, daughter, Linda (& husband Woody) Kastner of Palm Springs, California, brother, Donald "Bud" Hauskins of Nuevo, California, sister, Donna (& husband Gerald) Blom of Blue Earth, sister, Sharlette Goodrich of Blue Earth, sister, Doris Cooley of Fairmont, sister, Margaret McPherson of Denver City, Texas, sister, Sharlene Goins of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, brother-in-law, Howard Hinrichsen of Blue Earth, sisters-in-law, Ruberta Hinrichsen of Fairmont and Phyllis Harder of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, eleven grandchilren & six great grandchildren.Iva was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
