Oscar Renkly

Oscar Renkly was born April 29, 1918, at Blue Earth, Minnesota, the son of Alfonse and Martha (Budach) Renkly.He was raised and educated in Blue Earth where he farmed his family farm for many years. He was married to Irene Sader on November. 3, 1938 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. He farmed until the late 1960''s and also worked with Blue Earth Lumber Co. for 10 years and with Frank Brothers Elevator for 10 years. Oscar retired in 1983, but continued to work seasonally on the Everett Wessels farm. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Chuch. Oscar is survived by his daughter, Beverly (& husband Don) Peterson of Vernon Center, daughter, Helen Renkly of Blue Earth, daughter, Judy (& husband Chuck) Murphy of Blue Earth, daughter, Sandra (& husband Kristopher) Miller, of Mapleton, son, Greg (& wife Anne) Renkly of Rochester, nine grandchildren: Paul (& wife Julie) Evans, Jane (& husband Bill) Vader, Renae (& husband Darren) O?Rourke, Andrea Miller, Kristina Miller, Miranda Miller, Clinton Miller, Adam (& wife Jennifer) Renkly and Haley Renkly, five great grandchildren: Adrien Vader, Evan Vader, Issabella O?Rourke, David Evans and Michael Evans, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and neices & nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene in 1995, parents, a daughter- Dianne Cooper in 2000, two sons-in-law: Robert Evans & David Cooper, one brother and five sisters.
