Dale Kuhn

Dale was born August 29, 1930, in Verona Township, MN, the son of Otto W. and Lulu A. (Stauffer) Kuhn.He was raised and educated in the Blue Earth area where he attended country schools and Blue Earth Schools. He farmed with his father for several years before entering the U.S. Airforce. He was married to Betty Ihle on July 5, 1952 in Blue Earth. The couple was stationed at Pepperal Air Force Base in St. John''s Newfoundland during the Korean Conflict. They returned to the farm in 1956 and in the early 1960''s Dale began working at J & N TV repair. In the late 1960''s he started to work for Blue Earth Rendering Co., where he worked for 24 years. He formally retired in 1992 but also worked for Green Giant for several years afterward. Since 1996, Dale and Betty have enjoyed wintering in Texas and spending summers at there lake cabin in Richmond, MN. Dale was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth and a 53 year member of the Blue Earth American Legion Post #89. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, coaching Little League and playing cards and spending time with his family & friends.Dale is survived by his wife, Betty Kuhn of Blue Earth, daughter, Alice (& husband Rory) Telander of Laramie, Wyoming, son, Ken (& wife Rosie) Kuhn of Stewartville, daughter, Cheri (& husband Rich) Martin of Moorhead, son, Doug (& wife Roxie) Kuhn of Forest City, Iowa, daughter, Koni (& husband Norm) Preston of Mapleton, son, John (& wife Mary Jo) Kuhn of Blue Earth, brother, Jack (& wife Lou) Kuhn of Ponder, Texas, sister, Lee Kuhn of Fulton, Texas, sister, Eileen Wehr of Blue Earth, sister, Laura Blomgren of Winnebago, 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, a daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren.
