BLUE EARTHOctober 1, 2003Laura KrukenbergLaura Krukenberg, age 94, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003, at Parker Oaks, Winnebago. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2003, at 11:00 AM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Blue Earth, with Rev. John Otte officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Blue Earth. Visitation time will be 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Saturday. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth & Elmore is handling the arrangements.She was born August 13, 1909, at Blue Earth, , the daughter of Gustav J. and Hulda J. (Eckhardt) Weise.Laura was raised and educated in Blue Earth where she attended school. She was married to Emil Krukenberg on October 12, 1933. The couple farmed at rural Blue Earth all their married life. Laura was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Emerald Township where she was a member of the ladies aid, LWML, and was a former Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting and quilting for many years. She had continued to live on the farm until her move to Parker Oaks in 2002. Laura is survived by her daughter, Elaine (& husband Hal) Schroeder of Blue Earth, son, Claire Krukenberg of Charleston, Illinois, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1990, four sisters and four brothers..
