Lawrence A. Huber, age 69, of Elmore, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at United Hospital, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2003, at 11:00 AM, at Elmore United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Pastor Wane Souhrada officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore at a later date. Visitation time will be 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church.He was born September 26, 1934, in rural Elmore, Minnesota, the son of Charles A. and Lucile R. (Thompson)Huber.Lawrence was a lifetime Elmore area resident and 1953 graduate of Elmore High School. He began farming not long out of high school and farmed all his life near Elmore, only recently thinking of retiring. He was married to Delores A. Gerres on January 6, 1982 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He was a friend of the Elmore United Methodist Church and had been a member of the former Elmore Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking and attending old time thrashing and blue grass shows throughout Minnesota and Iowa. He also enjoyed restoring old tractors, which he planned to show this year. Lawrence and Delores enjoyed old time dancing together for many years.Lawrence is survivied by his Wife: Delores Huber of Elmore, Mother: Lucile R. Huber of Buffalo Center, Iowa, Brother: Russell (& wife Barbara)Huber of Elmore, Brother: Charles (& wife Patricia)Huber of Elmore, Brother: Eldon (& wife Sally)Huber of Elmore, Brother: Vernon (& wife Dang)Huber of Elmore, Brother: Gene(& wife Mavis)Huber of Elmore, Sister: Velma (& husband Marvin)Stroble of Titonka, Iowa, Sister: Helen (& husband Tom)Syverson of Blue Earth and Sister: Joyce (& husband Tom)Henderson of Chanhassen.He was preceded in death by his Father-Charles Huber, Sr.
